Define Your Unique Brand and Focus

Your unique brand can only be defined by you because, as a creative entrepreneur, you are your brand. If you are going to build success in your pursuits then you need to know what you are doing and why you are doing it – that is your brand focus.

Building Your Unique Brand

Building your unique success begins by defining your unique voice. Call it personal brand, or vision, or why, or whatever you want to label it. Defining that IT will give you the foundation for building up your possibilities.

The teacher posted the online course material for each class with the directions to read the related material in their books. The students began working through the content – but in the wrong class. They weren’t doing what was required because they didn’t take time to follow the direction.

When you begin pursuing your BIG DREAMS without defining your voice and brand you are worse off than the kids doing the wrong work. The students at least had been giving directions. Taking action without focus is like doing online work offline – there is a disconnect.

Success requires you to be connected. Take a moment to uncover your personal brand.

Defining Your Personal Brand

You have to know you to be bold in pursuit of your unique design. You have to embrace your uniqueness to plot a path founded in your personal voice. And you have to define your voice to begin building success that is unique to your place and journey.

The more you know, the more prepared you will be to go.

  • What gifts do you feel you have?

After you take the time to answer all of these questions, go back through the answers. Look for single words that stand out. Write those words on individual index cards or pieces of paper. Spread them out on a table or floor so you can see them all.

Meditate on the words.

Once you have meditated on the words, begin to gather like words and ideas to gather.

Begin to write out sentences, phrases, or short paragraphs that encompass the words and ideas sparked by the words.

These are the beginning of your brand definition.
