Scripture Thoughts to Find Purpose to Create a Focused Life
You will not be disappointed in what you are doing if you understand what it is that you are supposed to be doing. Discover your God given purpose and you will begin to find God given peace.
I have always lived in my purpose, but only recently have I started understanding that was what I was doing. Most of my life was spent on the phone listening to the woes of others, reaching out to encourage or support someone or just standing on the sidelines and cheering (although I was NEVER a cheerleader).
It took some digging to realize that all the things I could do well would combine in a way that would allow me to encourage and inspire others. Speaking opportunities let me share stories and images that can motivate. Writing provides another path to reveal my own struggles and epiphanies. I was living in my purpose even before I knew my purpose but that allowed me to walk in a peace and joy that can be annoying to those people around me that have not yet found their own paths to that place.
Scripture Tips for Discovering Purpose
-
– remember that God created you with a purpose in mind. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us that God knows the plans that HE has for us.
– remember that God formed you with a purpose in mind. Jeremiah 1:5 tells that not only is there a purpose but there is an appointed plan.
– remember that God fulfills the purpose. Philippians 2:13 shows us that it is God that works in us to fulfill His purpose.
It all comes back to one, simple thing. You have to get to know the Purpose Maker if you are ever going to know or understand your purpose. The more you grow to Him then the more you will begin to understand the reasons behind your uniqueness. Stop talking about what you want to be doing and start talking to the One that makes all things happen. He will guide you to that path that will bring you to a life of peace and joy.
