You are CREATED– designed by God on purpose and for a purpose. You win when you embrace the truth of your unique design.

Scripture Focus:

“We are created and designed by God to join Him in His purpose. Our place was prepared in advance and we step into that place when we step into faith in Jesus Christ.” – from Ephesians 2:10

Application of Scripture:

It’s not something we do.

Let me say that in a different way.

We cannot fulfil our God-design.

It’s done for us and when we make the choice to accept Jesus Christ we are positioned to walk in obedience and to live out that design.

My dad told the story of how when he took a job in California, he moved to the new location with limited funds in his pocket. He explained that they only got paid at the end of the month and he was doing all he could to make his finances stretch to that first paycheck.

He watched with envy as the guy in the dinner line in front of him ordered the steak and potatoes. Dad had been living off bean burritos (the cheapest thing on the menu). When the guy got to the register, he showed his I.D. and told them to charge it.

My dad caught up with him and asked him what he’d done. “You can buy your meals and they will take it out of your paycheck.”

My dad had an ability, a way to eat better, that he didn’t use because he didn’t know about it.

When it comes to living out God’s designed Abundant Life for each of us, we have a way to live better – exceedingly abundant beyond anything we can think or imagine. But if you don’t know that way, you can’t live it. And you can only know it if you are invested in knowing God.

You are called to so much more than ordinary. You are called to live beyond surviving – you are made to thrive.
